Fort Myers Beach, Florida, July 11, 2008 – Aquagene, Pink Shell Beach Resort's award winning spa, has just unveiled the new Pink Shell Ocean Energy Signature Massage. This massage uses Tiger-striped clam shells. In the ocean, these shells filter CO2 out of the water and therefore naturally reduce green house gases from our environment. In massage, these cleansed, sanded and polished shells provide the ocean's energy in the palm of your hands.
Before beginning the massage the clam shells are activated (heated) by adding purified water and sodium chloride to a biodegradable mixture of natural minerals and absorptive powders including dried kelp and sea algae. While the shells are activating the therapist will begin the massage therapy with a light facial massage using essential lavender oils to soothe the mind. Once the shells are heated, the massage therapist will luxuriously apply a green tea and mango massage oil to the guest's body. The warmed clam shells are then used in a circular motion to relieve the body of life's stresses. The 50-minute massage begins at the feet and legs ending at the back and neck. Guests will enjoy a relaxing musical composition of ocean sounds while indulging in the Pink Shell Ocean Energy Signature Massage.
